Pastor Samuel Vinton, Sr.
  1907 - 2005
76 years in the Lord's Service

One Lord...calling one man...to give one profession...over one lifetime... developing one ministry that would end up leading thousands to Christ. What a difference just one can make - especially when that one desires to serve God!

“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.” Acts 20:24

As a teenager, Sam Vinton, Sr., said YES to God, becoming a missionary and accepting God’s call. What were the results?

- A deep personal commitment to the Lord, with grace and wisdom abounding.
- The joy of having lived a wonderful life, leading many people to the Lord.
- The satisfaction of having raised a beautiful family who share in his mission.
- The amazement of being in their late 90s and still having the capacity to preach.

Pastor Samuel Vinton, Sr., originally from Pennsylvania, felt called to the mission field of Africa and founded his ministry there with Grace Ministries International. He has served the Lord as physician, pastor and counselor to tribal leaders, founding hundreds of schools and churches, which laid the foundation for God's truths to ring forth throughout the Congo and much of the African continent. Often referred to as “Baba V,” Pastor Vinton has made a major difference in the eternal destiny of a nation. In 2005 after 76 years of ministry he was called home to glory.
